It was nice to feel the night air brushing up against your face heading towards your certain death. I wanted to tell Ryan about that dream still but if I did he would think I have gone insane for this and thinking that Springer knows magic.
“Hoist the sails!” Someone yelled. Me and Ryan chose to come in a ship that is not of the Royal Navy and what better to pick one of Wharf Rats from Scrimshaw, the place that I wanted to live in back then but being on this ship for a few minutes has driven me crazy! Dropping from scarakeets are on the deck, wheel, sails, rigging, and just on the ship altogether but the good part is that me and Ryan get the Captain’s Quarters for the voyage.
Sailing from Marleybone City has taken to long. Springer said to sail through Albion, take a short trip through Avalon, find the stormgate to Darkmoor, and then take the Marleybone stormgate there to Westminster. "Captain Bart, please may course for the closest land to the Avalon stormgate while recount supplies and possibly restock." I said, "And make sure that no one goes below deck while me and Ryan chart the course." The Captain gave a slight nod and went on to start the turn into the windlane.
Ryan was already down inside the quarters when I went down taking inventory of the windstones. "Do we have the two windstones for the stormgates? I don't want to have to go back to the city and waste a whole week."
"We got the windstones but I went to the front of the ship and looked ahead and saw faint shadows of what seems to be an Armada stronghold. It may delay us but we have to try and see if any citizens of the crown are there." Ryan replied, "Also, the stronghold is right next to the stormgate to Avalon and we don't have the Avalon windstone."
And that is where we are, about to be blasted out of the sky by a stronghold with a possible windstone to Avalon and prisoners of the Armada but it didn't add up, none of it but the foxes attacking added up. Something was up and this trip was going to help me get to the bottom of it, even if it meant my life ending at any moment.
